System requirements are the most practically useful pre-launch fact and the most frequently misreported, so this page is explicit about sourcing. The figures below come from pre-release coverage. The authoritative version is the Steam store page, which Capcom updates directly.

If you are building or upgrading for this game, read the storage requirement first. The SSD mandate is the detail most likely to catch people out.

Reported minimum specifications

The minimum tier is described as targeting 1080p at 30 fps on low settings. Reported components:

The 16 GB memory figure is the one worth flagging. It is the same at both tiers, which means 8 GB systems are not supported at any settings level. That is increasingly normal, but it still catches people with older builds.

The GPU requirement is modest by modern standards. A GTX 1660 is a 2019 card, so most gaming PCs from the last five or six years should clear this tier without an upgrade.

Reported recommended specifications

The recommended tier is described as targeting 1080p at 60 fps on medium settings. Reported components:

For a combat game where parry and Issen timing matter, the 60 fps target is the meaningful number here. If your hardware sits between the two tiers, prioritise frame rate over resolution — the game supports upscaling, which is the intended lever.

Note that the recommended tier is still described at 1080p medium. Higher resolutions and settings are untested publicly, and no 1440p or 4K target has been published.

Storage: the SSD requirement

This is the requirement to plan around. The game requires installation on an SSD, and needs at least 50 GB of space.

That is not a recommendation. Coverage is consistent that an SSD is mandatory regardless of which tier you are targeting, which makes sense for a game streaming large Kyoto environments without loading corridors.

The 50 GB figure is also worth comparing against the Switch 2 version, which Nintendo's store page lists at an estimated 34.2 GB. Different texture budgets across platforms account for most of the difference, but it does mean PC players should clear more room than console players expect to.

Upscaling support

The game is reported to support NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR at launch. Coverage references DLSS 4 and FSR 3.1, which matters because the reported performance targets were measured with upscaling enabled rather than at native resolution.

Practically, that means the minimum and recommended tiers assume you are using upscaling. If you plan to run native resolution with no upscaling, treat both tiers as a step lower than advertised.

What this means for common builds

A few practical reads for players deciding whether they need to upgrade.

• GTX 1060 or RX 580 with 16 GB RAM. Below the reported GPU minimum. Expect to rely heavily on upscaling, and consider dropping to low settings at 1080p.
• GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT with 16 GB RAM. Meets the reported minimum. Playable at 1080p and 30 fps.
• RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600 with 16 GB RAM. Meets the reported recommended tier. This is the sensible target for a timing-based action game.
• RTX 3060 Ti and above. Comfortably above the recommended tier, with headroom for higher settings. No 1440p or 4K target has been published, so treat above-1080p as untested.
• 8 GB RAM systems. Not supported at either tier. This is the upgrade that matters most if you are below it.

Controller and input

Capcom has not published a controller support statement in the materials available to us, and the PC version's controller behaviour is a common launch-day complaint thread.
